What is Dubsado and How Will It Benefit Your Business?

by Dubsado Tips

Chances are you’ve heard the word Dubsado banded around a lot online. So, what the hell does it do?

Well, in essence, Dubsado is a Customer Relationship Management tool. It helps business owners easily track all communication and nurture relationships with their leads and clients.

If you’re keeping track of client information on random spreadsheets and notebooks, then you need a CRM in your life pronto.

Who is Dubsado for?

Dubsado is brilliant for service-based businesses. Think coaches, social media consultants, photographers, graphic designers, wedding planners and virtual assistants (to name a few). Basically, anyone who has lots of touchpoints in their client journey.

What does Dubsado do well?

Before I set up Dubsado for my business, I would spend HOURS every week onboarding new clients, sending proposals, and trying to figure out at what stage each client was at in my process.

Now, everything runs like a well-oiled machine without me having to get involved. That’s thanks to a series of actions (workflows) that run automatically.

Here’s what Dubsado is great at:

Tracking and responding to leads

Dubsado lets you capture your leads easily by embedding a contact capture form on your website. You can set up the form to ask specific questions which will pre-qualify your leads and save you time in the long run.

As soon as anyone makes an enquiry, their details fly over to your Dubsado account, where they can receive a holding email while you review their details. No lead will ever go unanswered.

Booking calls

Say goodbye to diary ping-pong. Dubsado has its own scheduler functionality. This is linked to your calendar so that clients and leads are only ever offered time slots that work for you.

Sending Contracts, Proposals and Invoices

One of the best features Dubsado offers is the ability to follow up after a discovery call with a proposal, contract and invoice all in ONE link.

Smart fields mean that whatever package the client chooses will feed through into the contract and invoice. Potential clients can sign up to your services in MINUTES. It’s a gamechanger, I promise.

Reminder emails

Tired of chasing clients for testimonials manually? Fed up with chasing people for payments? Well then, I have some good news.

In Dubsado, you can set up as many automatic reminders as you like for appointments, questionnaires and invoices.

OK so there’s just a snippet of the good stuff.

What isn’t it good for?

There are three areas that you aren’t going to be able to use Dubsado for:

  1. Email marketing – Leave that to the email marketing platforms like MailerLite, Flodesk and ActiveCampaign
  2. Task and Project Management – While Dubsado does have a task management board feature, Asana and ClickUp are FAR superior and have better features. Trust me.
  3. Course management – Definitely not one for Dubsado. Take a look at Kajabi, Circle or Thinkific for this.

Let’s talk money

As of August 2023, Dubsado have two options:

Starter – $20/mo or $200/yr

This is great for beginners who just need invoicing, forms and email templates

Premier – $40/mo or $400/yr

The best option if you want to utilise the scheduler and automated workflows
